Tee Off for a Purpose

Each year, the Annual Shriners Memorial Golf Classic raises funds to support the life-changing work of Shriners Children’s, a nonprofit network of pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding medical education. Their mission? To provide compassionate care to children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate — regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

Bella’s Rides was created to honor the extraordinary life and compassion of Bella Burkholder, a young girl whose heart for helping others was far bigger than her years.

Bella lived with epilepsy and tragically lost her life during a seizure. Advances in vehicle safety technology — including features now available in newer Subaru Outback models — could have saved her life. Bella’s Rides exists to help prevent other families from experiencing that same loss by providing reliable transportation solutions and raising awareness for individuals living with epilepsy.

But Bella’s mission didn’t stop there.

Before the age of 10, Bella had already raised over $15,000 in support of Shriners — a cause she was deeply passionate about and proudly championed. Helping children in need wasn’t something she was taught to do someday — it was something she lived every day.

Through Bella’s Rides, her legacy continues by:

• Providing transportation support and awareness for individuals affected by epilepsy
• Promoting safety, prevention, and life-saving solutions
• Continuing Bella’s commitment to helping children through Shriners
